"It makes no difference who or what you are, old or young, black or white, pagan, Jew, or Christian, I want to love you all and be loved by you all, and I mean to have your love." -Victoria Woodhull

Her face bore
the silent waves
of ore
and grave
stones, its
crevices
of smashed grits
and excess
bone marrow
are as humble
as a hunter’s arrow.
Thus, her smile—a crumble—
detains its own image,
my flawed scrimmage.
