I feel like I’m letting people down.
I am sick of doing stuff very wrong.
If I try hard it’s bad and makes me frown.
When I displease I end up very sad.

I would do stuff for my only mother,
Then I see that it does not look quite right.
Inside it feels like she says why bother,
So I get mad and would be up all night.

Next time I will make sure it is correct.
I won’t make mistakes for my mom anymore.
I hope, to my mom, I’m not a reject. I don’t know why or what I did that for.

Now my mother isn’t always mad at me,
And I can be the best kid she will see
