“My generation had to be taken seriously because we were stopping things and burning things. We were able to initiate change, because we had such vast numbers. …And when we moved, everything moved with us.”

-- John Hughes

A girl with so much heart
Still seen as too young
On her knees as her world falls apart
Asking to be strong

Always been perfect
She would be seen as nothing less
But the pain isn't worth it
And she wont confess

That inside shes still small
Going through life tumbling
Jumping, not judging the fall
Between broken hearts and parted lips, shes fumbling

But with every bruise her defenses are better
Pulling away as her skin turns to leather

I've arrived at that age of soul-searching, only to find out most people are in denial of the necessity of their own search.
