Spring
I go about my daylight hours basking
Lying on hills beneath the rising sun
Without a care, I hear sparrows chirping
I lay until light the clouds do shun
The raindrops tickle and bounce on my skin
Water falling softly into my eye
I run towards my cozy summer cabin
As cold gilded lightning cracks through the sky
The kitchen window is covered with mist
I sip tea that smells like sweet lavender
I sit in my chair and then reminisce
Oh how I wish Spring could last forever
Reading books, letting out a lonely sigh
The hearth shining like golden fireflies
