Am I So Lifeless?
A thousand times I'm just you're victim

 To play with

A thousand times again you say you've

 Always been my friend

 And a thousand times more

I say a thousand times more

 You'll say

That you've always wanted something more

When I'm slipping, beneath the surface

Invisible cracks are barring against my soul

But can you feel it? Am I still lifeless?

Can the touch that used to warm my skin

Save me from this undying cold

 Adoration, admiration

 Labels that echo positivity

Wrapped around you, stuck around you

While I've been their outcast, the subject

The excuse to point fingers from the hands of ignorance

At the very thing the strive to become but will never understand

 A thousand times I'm just you're victim

 To play with

A thousand times again you say you've

 Always been my friend

 And a thousand times more

I say a thousand times more

 You'll say

That you've always wanted something more

When I'm slipping, beneath the surface

Invisible cracks are barring against my soul

But can you feel it? Am I still lifeless?

Can the touch that used to warm my skin

Save me from this undying cold

You've never walked a step off your life's stage

You only asked me to join you in your grand performance

I thought the spotlight was on us both

But I guess the sea of people I see

Is not the life I wanted most

I'm fighting, gripping on with clenched hands

Broken teeth lying somewhere in the corner

I don't know where this life will lead

Or how I can go any further

 But this is my entitlement

To some f***ing dignity while I'm still alive

So just hold on to me a little while longer

Because I came so close to knowing the truth

Closer to seeing who you really were

Now I'm further from who you really are

Have I gotten very far inside your heart?

 A thousand times I'm just you're victim

 To play with

A thousand times again you say you've

 Always been my friend

 And a thousand times more

I say a thousand times more

 You'll say

That you've always wanted something more
