Under the Fading Light

I miss those days,
I wish I could relive those days,
They're now just memories,
slowly fading away.
I wrote a letter every night,
sacrificing slumber for every word,
writing under the fading light,
I wish you were beside.
Every night I spent crying,
I waited for your mail
under the fading light,
but got no replies.
You promised me,
you would return shortly,
under the fading light,
that shortly lasted eternity.
Day passed, months passed,
years changed into a decade,
under the fading light,
I'm still waiting for your replies.
