If you won't stand behind our troops, feel free to stand in front of them.

It all started when I walked into that room.
I saw your big blue eyes.
Behind them was the heart of a million men.
With the strength of a lion, you guided yourself through the room.
Pumping at those wheels on your left and your right.

They don’t understand you.
They don’t even try.
They don’t understand pain.
They just turn blind.
To the boy that changed my life, one smile at a time.
They turn blind. Oh. They turn blind.

It all happened when we walked close together,
Going to lunch every day.
Our group of friends surrounding you, so no more stares today.
Making the best of what we had,
I saw your pretty blue eyes lookin’ at me.
And from across the table I looked back at you
I told you with my eyes. You told me with your eyes.

They don’t understand you.
They don’t even try.
They don’t understand pain.
They just turn blind.
To the boy that changed my life, one smile at a time.
They turn blind.

And when school was out and there was no more time,
To laugh all day and have a blast,
It was time to say goodbye.
As I walked to you and said
"I’ll miss you",
you smiled back me.
And that was when I realized.
You changed my life.
And I smiled.
And I said.

I understand you.
I honestly try.
I understand pain.
With you by my side.
You’re the boy who changed my life.
I fell in love with you.
And we’ll be together one day.
We’ll be together one day.
We’ll be together.
One day. Yeah.
On a beautiful day.
