Sea Salt

Your sheets flow over my eyes
And take over my mind
I'm taking in this needing
This feeling
More than even you would imagine
Enveloped
Thoughts of only what could be

It's like forgetting
The taste of the sea
Wishing for a move
To draw out your feet
You can't remember
The feel of his beat

It's like going beyond your
Crazy little dreams
Where everything real isn't
Truly what it seems
And you can imagine
The taste of the sea
His beat dances heavily
Through the course of your mind
But listening close is a waste of your time
Freeing your memory
And beginning your rhyme

I can't walk on water
And I can't see the storms
Lying in my pain
Their gain
It's too late for us to look the other way
And give up the ways of the wise

You're drowing in this sea of faces
And I can only watch you disappear

It's like forgetting
The taste of the sea
Wishing for a move
To draw out your feet
You can't remember
The feel of his beat

It's like going beyond your
Crazy little dreams
Everything real isn't
Truly what it seems
And you can imagine
The taste of the sea
His beat dances heavily
Through the course of your mind
But listening close is a waste of your time
Freeing your memory
And beginning your rhyme

It's like forgetting
The taste of the sea
Waiting for a move
To draw out your feet
'Cause you can't remember
The feel of your
Beat

This is fantastic! A really great and beautiful use of metaphors, imagery, and personification. I'd love to hear the chords to this. Good job!
