I tried to remember….
Why I held on for so long.
All of the feelings you put me through
Was unhealthy for anyone.

I wanted to stay with you. But you argued that too.
You could never drop a fight because you always had to be,
right….

People warned me…. They said, “he’s not your type”
They told me that every guy looks at me
With those same eyes….

-- I thought that I would have you, for the rest of my life
But then you argued about whatever’s on your mind.
You tried to take my hand and guide me up to the light.
You tried killing me inside.

When I was younger. I dreamed of my collegehood days
The days that you laugh and play and have fun all day.
But I couldn’t with you. I had to follow you around.
You made me watch you play and watch you lose control
Of yourself.

I wanted to stay with you. But you argued that too.

As I sit here alone, reminiscing on old times
When you’d brush my cheek and say “Baby your perfect”
Man was I stupid. I thought you wouldn’t hurt me.
It’s turns out you were just using me….

You mentioned a diamond ring and a happy ending,
