"Alternative to what?" -Bliss, from the movie "Whip It"

If I told you something was wrong would you,
If I asked you for something right you'd just,
Keep it to yourself.
Can I be myself for,
For just one moment?
After that, then maybe you'll see,
Maybe you will see.
Who are you?
What makes you better than me and
Why do you tell me what to do?
Go get a life and maybe a higher iq!
Heeey now,
I bet that you can here us
Heeey now,
But you just choose to shut us
You shut us out...

If I told you something was wrong well you, you wouldn't give a s***.
If I asked you for change today you'd say maybe tomorrow.
But would you follow through?I don't think so!
Wish this stupid crazy pain in the a** and worse system-
Would just go away.

The author's comments:
I wrote this song to give a voice to everyone oppressed by the system, to show how it feels to wonder if authority will ever take you or your people seriously. I got the idea for it after watching Steven Harper's BS apology to Metis, Inuit and First Nations people for residential schools. It angered me because I'm First Nations.
It was inspired by Ani DiFranco's musical style and I hope to work with my band on it.
