Biscuit

July 25, 2011

Your deep brown eyes have woven a snare
I’m captured by your biscuit hair
But you can’t give just one care
To my legs, running, running after you

I see what you have inside
I reached out, you only shied
away, and I cried
when I realized how much I loved you.

I can’t let you go, I already know
I want to see much more of you.
I see the kindness in your eyes, so how is it surprise
That the crush I had has infectiously grew

You know how hopeless I am at love.
I cannot flirt, I poke and shove
You act like a startled dove
And just fly away, away

How do I show you how I feel?
This love, this pain, it doesn’t seem real
Your ignorance just makes me blue
I’ll have to settle for watching you

Lustfully…

The author's comments:
This is just a outlet for my crush-like feelings. The title, and the 13th word, which is used like an adjective, is an inside joke thing. If you were from my school, you'd know who I'm talking about, which is why this is published anonymously.

Mending a broken heart is just as hard as breaking one.

I thought this was really good.  ;)
