This is the final time I give a chance to you,
You're just a library book I checked out, and you're far overdue.
I'm paying the fines, I'm checking you in,
Oh baby, I'm letting you go, this time you will not win.

What you gave me, was never love you know,
You tore me down so far, and it's time I let you go.
Thanks for everything you taught me,
All the misery you brought me.
The doubt you steered toward me.
My love for you, could have been never ending.
But you gave up on me, and now the sadness is shedding.

Summer sunlight, is shining through my window,
You're calling my phone, but I won't answer this time no.
Honey, you're far too late, and I wish you luck on the next girl,
I have no time for your anger and hate, it's time to go our separate ways,
I'm taking on this world.

What you gave me, was never love you know,
You tore me down so far, and it's time I let you go.
Thanks for everything you taught me,
All the misery you brought me.
The doubt you steered toward me.
My love for you, could have been never ending.
But you gave up on me, and now the sadness is shedding.

Don't try to yell at me this time, I owe you no apology,
I'm moving on, and I feel so much better without you darling.
It use to be endless dark nights, and now it's just beaming in sunlight.
Beautiful isn't it? I always thought it was impossible to achieve,
But now I realize to get it, all I had to do, was have you leave.

What you gave me, was never love you know,
You tore me down so far, and it's time I let you go.
Thanks for everything you taught me,
All the misery you brought me.
The doubt you steered toward me.
My love for you, could have been never ending.
But you gave up on me, and now the sadness is shedding.

The author's comments:
What inspired me to write this song is primarily about an ex of mine who constantly tore me down. One day, I had enough of it and I realized that they were the one at fault, and that I didn't need to be deal with what they were doing to me.
