Untouchable

July 2, 2011
Have you ever felt like it’s an addiction?
To come back to something that’s no good for you
Have you ever been the one with wounds of self infliction?
Tell yourself you know better but know it’s no use

‘Cause when I’m in a crowd
Or when, no one’s around
I am thinking of you
In the middle of the night I dream
Of feeling you by my side hearing you breathe
I am thinking of you
And how I wish you’d think of me

Have you ever known your own infection?
How the cure’s so far out of reach it’s unbelievable
Have you played things out in your head to perfection?
Just knowing that all of it’s untouchable

Used to convince myself you were bad for my health
I still convince myself, only know I know that I need help

‘Cause when I’m in a crowd
Or when, no one’s around
I am thinking of you
In the middle of the night I dream
Of feeling you by my side hearing you breathe
I am thinking of you
And how I wish you’d think of me

Well looks like I’ve lost it all
My dignity, my time, and those brown eyes
Now I know I’ll never know those arms
They’ll never feel the way I do
Stupid girl for even believing you could still feel the same way too

‘Cause when I’m in my room
I remember when I met you
Young with summer closing to an end
How we never wanted it to end
In the middle of the night I dream
Of feeling you by my side hearing you breathe
I am thinking of you
And how I wish you’d think of me too

So far out of reach it’s unbelievable
Just knowing that all of this is untouchable
