“There's no half-singing in the shower, you're either a rock star or an opera diva.”

You thought you could stay hidden
Disappear with the life that was forbidden
Planning on running away
Since you can no longer pray

The cross begins to burn
The minute your world turns upside down
Never planning on a return
You plan to quickly drown

Traveling in the dark
Making your mark
Amongst the poor soules
Who took on the same roles

Looking to say goodbye
One last time
But refusing to let anyone see you cry
To everyone it's a crime

Walking among the blind
The same who signed
The horrible deed
Just so they wouldn't bleed

You express your pain
With a new scar on your skin
Hoping it will keep you sane
Each time the string grows thin

Praying that you will learn to speak
Show that you aren't weak
Don't let depression
Control your confession

I wrote this in the eyes of someone else. Imagining the world of a girl who was stuck in a dark depression, thinking there was no way out.
