I'm not what you think

I’m calling out to people,
But they’re scared of what they might see,
Nobody looks; no they don’t even turn,
Oh, is this how I’ve got to be?
I guess they shouldn’t they look back,
They have their own life to lead.
So let’s go right now,
Try not to make a sound.

I’m not what you think I am,
I’m just that one you ignore,
And I’m here all alone,
Whilst you’re on the dance floor,
Whoa.

I guess this town’s pretty small,
I don’t think it’s made for two,
Not with colossal egos,
Who stays me or you?
I guess I should leave now,
I was always out of place,
So I’ll go right now,
I’ll try not to make a sound.

I’m not what you think I am,
I’m just that one you ignore,
And I’m here all alone,
Whilst you’re on the dance floor,
Whoa.

Did you regret it?
Or did you live with the blame?
Because they told me,
You’d always be the same.
You ignore your conscience,
Because it makes feel good,
So let’s stay right now,
Who cares if we make a sound?

I’m not what you think I am,
I’m just that one you ignore,
And I’m here all alone,
Whilst you’re on the dance floor,
I’m not what you think I am,
I’m just that one you ignore,
And I’m here all alone,
Whilst you’re on the dance floor,
And I don't care any more.

The author's comments:
I was inspired by how often I get overlooked by people and misjudged, but they were careless. After a while, I guess I stopped caring about it.
