Asking Lexi to Prom

Gather round everyone
listen to this song
I can't play guitar
if you can sing, then sing along

It's a high school tale
of boy meets girl
so let's get this show on the road
let me give this 6 string a whirl

The girl's name is Lexi
the boy's name is Corey
they met in theatre
don't get ahead thats not the story

His best friend admired first
but his heart wouldn't let him
it gave him a scare
so now Corey comes to play as he saw and worshipped her with care

She was fun and outgoing
something Corey was quite use to
but a girl who was fun?
this was something that's new

Ditching friends at lunch was only the first
but he's grown to really like her
the more he has thrist

It's funny for HIM cause he's singing in third person point of view
but don't think it's weird
it's just something I do

Now, ignore my distractions
let's get back to the story
there's just a little bit left
don't doze off or worry

Prom is here, every teenager's fear
I'm going to take this advantage
hopefully that night
I'll be saying "My dear..."

Now like Hollywood or books this story needs an end...
it's no fill in the blank
no pictures
just words
words
words
words
uh-let's see...this story is wrapping up quite oddly
now, if I could only find a word that rhymes with...oddly...
why am I rhyming? this song is almost pointless. I guess what I'm trying to say is obvious...but the right words...this is embarrassing...alright, I guess I'm gonna get right to the point...oh-by the way did you like my song?
RIGHT-my question...alright...here it goes...

Alright Alexis.... hopefully this isn't that hard to see

But I guess what I'm asking is....

Will you go to prom with me? <3

Amazingg!

The part where u can't find a word to rhyme with oddly was hilarious..

and then the gaps between the questions in the end..

well crafted!

I enjoyed it through and through :|
