With our whole lives before us
Its easy to see what went wrong
We've been running around in circles
For way too long
We've tried to solve our problems
We've tried to get away
We've tried to tell ourselves
That everything would be okay
But in all reality
We'd soon fall apart
We've been banished from our love
From the very start
We've tried to veer from danger
We knew we must be strong
But in all reality
Safety was long gone
The guns and knives were held
In our own two hands
The cries of pain shot through
Our whole nations land
They all ask, "Why do the angels cry?
Why do they shed these tears of anguish?
Why do they say 'Goodbye'?"
What can we say
We've made many mistakes
I have to go and find myself
If goodbye is what it takes
I walk away with pride
And dry all of the tears
I must forget the failure
And all the wasted years
I tell myself now,"
"I know what i must do"
But in all reality..
I still love you

If confused, the angels are a symbol for innocence. Please leave comments if you like :)
