I’m sitting here waiting for something
And it feels like something big
I’m gonna keep waiting because I don’t know what it is
And I don’t know what to say or where to be searching
And I’m looking everywhere but my eyes aren’t working
How do I find it and how do i know when I’ve got it
I don’t think I can do this all by myself
Somebody help me please show me the way
Give me a hand and would you be willing to stay
Because I’m building a fire with no flame

The emptiness makes my head start to spin
And all the same this is way too much to take in
Everything’s a mess and I try to make sense of it
But sense just won’t come
And I want to keep going on but I don’t know the right way
And I’m watching as the pictures fall off the wall
I sit as the ceiling crashes in pieces to the floor
My head is telling me run but I am glued to my spot
I am here an open mouth with no sound
And building a fire with no flame

I’m so close to the edge now but I’m too afraid too look down
I’m just so tired of being awake and
I want to dream but I don’t know how
I want to go home but I don’t know where that is anymore
So I stay here feeling blind
Trying and failing to build a fire with no flame
