Brand New Day

Wake up,
I'm alive,
I'm moving again,
Wake up,
Here we go,
Does the chaos ever end?
Remembering my past fears,
Mistakes, pain, and angry tears,
Regretting things I never should have done,
Its enough to make me want to run,

Life is spinning,
It's confusing,
Everything that was so clear,
Its out of focus,
Hard to handle,
Crashing down around my ears,
Its happening way too fast,
I want to slow down time,
And try to get some of those words back,

These are the days that we have lived through,
Trials and hopes that we say good bye to,
Moments of happiness and revelation,
Songs that we sing above the objections,
Laughter and tears that mix together,
Hiding our fears and trying to weather,
All the storms that try to beat us down,

But the dawn is breaking,
And the past is the past,
My future is unfolding,
No time for looking back,
The sun is rising,
The night has slipped away,
Maybe it's time to realize,
This is a brand new day,
