Raining Flower Petals
It’s raining flower petals today
I can’t describe this feeling in any way
Flower petals flying through the sky
The colours of the rainbow
Streaking past my eyes

No longer can I feel any despair
When I see these flower petals
Speeding through the air
It’s raining flower petals today
Oh I hope this feeling lasts
Oh I hope this feeling stays

It’s raining flower petals today
Through the air they fall
Through the air they play
Flower petals falling down on me
Flower petals in the air
Farther than the eye can see

Higher than the heavens
The flower petals fall
Falling and dancing through the air
To the heavens they return the call
It’s raining flower petals today
Oh I hope this feeling lasts
I hope it never goes away

Flower petals flying on in bliss
I don’t think any weather man
Could ever have predicted this
Flower petals farther than the eye can see
Dancing, playing, speeding through the sky with glee
It’s raining flower petals today
I can’t describe this feeling in any way
I hope it never goes away

The author's comments:
It was a dream at first. I'm standing, just standing. And around me I see such beauty that cannot be described. I feel so many emotions. I feel like smiling, crying, laughing, or just standing there in sheer awe of what's happening around me. It's so thrilling but somehow a simple word like thrill doesn't do it justice. It's just so beautiful... and there's music too. This beautiful orchestral music. I tried to find a picture to accompany this piece but none of them could do it justice. I hope I do a good enough job describing it in the poem. I hope you can picture it. There is nothing more beautiful.
