VI: Because there’s always times that I’m let down//

I won’t stress over not being chosen, not now//

‘Cause even though I aint worth much don’t mean I am a cloud//

To be rained through and shoved aside whenever the sun wishes to come out//

I know how it feels to be left out of tide//

To be washed ashore where there’s not a spot to hide//

And even though I aint as much as I want to be//

I can live for myself and be happy being me//

H: (Because) Every time I turn around, something wants to stop me//

From turning back and grabbing my possibilities //

From how high to how low, I don’t really know, because I’m always in the middle//

C: Middle girl, middle girl//

I am the person not to last, but not to perish all alone//

Middle girl, middle girl//

I am that person who isn’t great, but doesn’t exist for nothing//

Middle girl, I am, Middle girl; that I am//

VII: My horoscope tell me that I’m easily hurt//

But no matter because I never take it straight to heart//

However, they don’t know who I am //

And how I be, just because I’m struck down//

Don’t mean a piece of God is mad at me//

My horoscope says, that I am a very uncommon girl//

And at least they have that right//

The fact that I’m just not the ordinary type//

H: (Because) Every time I turn around, something wants to stop me//

From turning back and grabbing my possibilities //

From how high to how low, I don’t really know, because I’m always in the middle//

C: Middle girl, middle girl//

I am the person not to last, but not to perish all alone//

Middle girl, middle girl//

I am that person who isn’t great, but doesn’t exist for nothing//

Middle girl, I am, Middle girl; that I am//

VIII: And even when I find something to be done, so great//

I soon realize that someone can do it better//

They always promised me//

That I am special, and they promised me//

That I am sweet//

They always said not fret //

Because I could be the very best at something (at something)//

B: But how long do they//

Expect me to believe//

That I am something entirely whole//

I don’t like to be the same, even when they swear I am not//

I am the middle girl, I am the middle girl//

Last: Because there’s always times that I’m let down//

Buried deep in one’s mind to never resurface//

Because I always am put to the side//

I don’t like to be undermined //

And even though, they say I am something//

I already know I am the middle girl//

And even as they say I have a long way to go//

I want to be somebody, before I leave, before I leave//

C: Middle girl, middle girl//

I am forever the one in the middle//

In my family, my home//

Middle girl, middle girl//

I am forever the one standing between//

With my talents, with my face, with my strength, through the race//

Middle girl, (oh) middle girl//

I am forever the one in between//

Middle girl, shall I last, being who I am//

And wanting to be more than that//

Middle girl, seeking light before darkness breaks//

Even though I know it’ll be more than I can take//

Middle girl, salvage thee sorrow,//

Because even as I know, nothing will change//

I’ll wish for a better tomorrow (oooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh<harmonize)//
