Let me tell you a story
About a new born small town baby girl
She was born in a small hospital
Off of Main Street
The town was out in the middle of nowhere land
Her daddy was worken’ off shore
Her momma was too high to care for her
Her meme had her for the first few months
Until her daddy came home
Huggn’ and skweezen’ his baby girl
He took himself and this country baby
Out to live with grandmamma
Big brown eyes and long red hair
Car packed
House empty
Her grandmamma waven’ them goodbye
She was only
5 when her daddy made them move
To the big city called Denver
She was called name for her accent and her
Country ways
She always knew in her heart
She is that little country girl
At age 8 in the summer she was
Left to run this race called life all alone
Cuz no one believed her about what went down
In her room just 2 days earlier
In her 11th summer it happened again
Just a different man
This time she keeps it to herself
At age 10 her daddy got married
Now she had to call the wicked witch of the world
Momma
bruses and scars remind her of every night and day her daddy was gone
the names scared her heart
the scars will never go away
just patched up
she was 12 when she got to move back to another small town in the middle of nowhere
she feel head over heels for someone who tour her into a million peaces
now if she even thinks of falling for someone she puts a wall up
if they like her enough they will sacrifice the time it takes to climb the wall
at 14 she is falling head over heels again for the guy of her dreams
not that much time to spend with him so she puts up the wall
so she don’t get hurt
she still gets called names for her beautiful country look
she is still in Colorado
but the one thing that comes to a big surprise is
that little country girl
is me

i like this. its really good and i can relate because i went through a lot of the same things, but i finally away from it. unfortunately though, i'm stuck in DSS care for two more years til i turn 18 :( but you just gotta keep on keeping on, and just dont block those people out that are trying to help you the most. take it from another country girl living in a big city lol
