Favorite Quote:
"I'm beautiful in the nonconformist sort of way."

Verse One:
You open up the doors to the chapel
Just as I say, "I do."
You know you're to late
But you know you can
Stop this train
Maybe if you understood
You wouldn't have left
Can it be you're stopping me
From making a mistake

Chorus:
I don't know what
You desire from me, baby
Maybe you just want
Me back in your arms, maybe
Just as I was about to get
My happy-ever-after
You barged right in
And took my breath away

Verse Two:
We danced through the night
And said our goodbyes, I cried
Maybe I shouldn't be
Having these feelings for you
It was like some
Weird fairy tale
And you were the
Prince of my dreams

Chorus:
I don't know what
You desire from me, baby
Maybe you just want
Me back in your arms, maybe
Just as I was about to get
My happy-ever-after
You barged right in
And took my breath away

Verse Three:
We don't know how
This story is going to end
I am not some sort of
Princess you can defend
You aren't the right one
For me
Baby it's so clear
Can't you see?

Chorus:
I don't know what
You desire from me, baby
Maybe you just want
Me back in your arms, maybe
Just as I was about to get
My happy-ever-after
You barged right in
And took my breath away

The author's comments:
I was litterally inspired by the word "desire". We were doing slam poetry in my lit class and he gave us a list of words to choose from. For my slam poem I chose "courage" but then I thought, "I bet I can use the brain writing techniques we did in to help me write a song!"
So I went ahead, picked a few words I liked and this is what I came up for "desire".
I hope you like it, it is one of my personal favorites.
Please enjoy, "Desire".
