-Mary Shelley-

We met.
In high school.
All my friends liked you.
I thought you were a tool.
I messed with your head.
You messed with my heart.
But something inside me.
Needed you.
**Oh baby I.
Love you.
We’ve been through it all.
Oh yeah it’s true.
When you hold me close.
I can’t breathe.
And that’s how I know.
It’s meant to be.**
We always fight.
About stupid things.
We get bitter and stubborn.
And say things we don’t mean.
We say it’s over.
But it never lasts.
We can’t be apart.
Because it breaks my heart.
**Oh baby I.
Love you.
We’ve been through it all.
Oh yeah it’s true.
When you hold me close.
I can’t breathe.
And that’s how I know.
It’s meant to be.**
You’re everything.
I’ve ever wanted.
We’re completely opposite.
Except for our tempers.
We’ve proved people wrong.
Like I knew we would.
But they don’t matter.
Because you’re the only one I need.
**Oh baby I.
Love you.
We’ve been through it all.
Oh yeah it’s true.
When you hold me close.
I can’t breathe.
And that’s how I know.
It’s meant to be.**
I never thought I would fall this hard.
Completely head over heals.
In love with you.
It’s really fate.
I don’t know what to say.
But…
**Oh baby I.
Love you.
We’ve been through it all.
Oh yeah it’s true.
When you hold me close.
I can’t breathe.
And that’s how I know.
It’s meant to be.**
I believe.
That when two hearts beat as one.
It’s all for real.
It’s this gifted pardon.
This pardon called love.
Ohh yeahhh.
This pardon…
Called love.

The author's comments:
This song was written for my sister. She is getting married soon, and this describes everything her and her boyfriend are. They met in high school, and fight all the time, but in some way, they are the only ones for each other. I plan on singing it at her wedding playing piano at her wedding. My sister means the world to me, and she's the only sibbling I have, so I think it would be a really nice present... if that's what it should even be labeled.
