You were always there for me
Let me call you family
She's your sister now
All i can say is wow-

It's like a slap in the face
How can you let her take my place
You were my best friend
Knew you like the back of my hand

Now we're friends when it's convenient for you
You're not the same girl i knew
I'm not sure where we go from here
It all used to be so clear

These days you're out of my reach
Remember when we went to the beach
Those were the good old days
Memories in shades of gray

All i want is the old you back
The one i met in Mrs. Smith's class
But i know you're not the same
Sometimes it really is a shame

This is a great poem because it's so true. So many friends change throughout the years. It's funny how friends can be so close and when your friends meet someone new, they leave you in the dust to fend for yourself, it happend to me a few years back, and I know I'll never forget how it felt to be forgotten
