There is a place called the pit
You crawl underground and you sit
You are chained to a chair
In the Pit of Despair
Until you lose all of your wits

The author's comments:
This is for all of us musicians that have ever had to play in the Pit Orchestra. I don't know about the rest of the world, but us pit players at Dixie get a kick out of sitting underground for hours at a time, cranking out tunes like a track on replay, and performing in a show we're never going to see. We complain about it like crazy, but deep down, it's something we really enjoy.
