I See You in Every Face
I miss you, dear one
I wish you were here by me
 I miss your gentle voice
And your face I long to see

 I know the miles separate
But I still do look for you
 In every place, every day
 My searchings are new

I see you in every face
I see you in the stars
Yet not a one is as you
No one like who you are

All around me, people are together
So happy, as it should be
I only wish you were here
To enjoy this time with me

But a little distance is a good thing, they say
So we bless together our time
But I can’t help but wish sincerely
Every day of yours was mine
