Infinite Void

Every person is a glass doll

Slowly turning to powder

But sometimes they crack

Once they crack one can't go back

Because it'll just keep cracking

The stress from different sources can make the crack bigger

Until the cracking keeps going

Not just cracking but shattering

Blocks of stress being thrown

As yesterday becomes tomorrow

Tomorrow becomes three weeks ago

Delusion

Confusion

A hard tap becomes a swift crack and then they become dust

So many could have stopped the cracking before the dust

Sometimes they don't become dust, sometimes they shatter

With each sharp piece stabbing every other doll

Turning them to dust

The dying old show blame so many things

The high score like a video game

Ten turned to dust who can beat that?

A question they ask

Until it happens again

A tragedy becomes an argument

An argument becomes a tragedy

The dying show feed off the dust to keep from dying

Like a cycle that spins indefinitely, in an infinite void

I was inspired by all the school shootings. I hope media will stop reporting on them so copycats won't occur. I doubt this poem will do anything or even get featured, but I hope it does something.
