Do you think they know?
Head hung low,
Bruised body,
Teary eyes.
Do you think they know?
But choose to say nothing.
To be polite and not question.
Make him believe no one cares.
Do you think they know?
What happens when he goes home
What he hides from the world
What it takes to protect his family
Do you think they know?
Or do they ignore?
Or do they forget?
Or do they assume?
