Don't Grow Up

I wish I never grew up,
I wish I was still small,
no cares in the world,
except growing tall.
No stress, no peer pressure,
no adult problems or things,
no heartache, no heartbreak,
no news on what the world brings.
Kool Aid turns to alcohol.
Candy turns to nicotine.
Peek a Boo turns to spin the bottle.
Play dates turn to a party scene.
Life changes,
new phases,
new places,
new crazes.
So honey, never grow up.

I was inspired to write this after growing up and seeing how much everything around me has changed and how sad life really is.
