Decisions to make
The deer grazes peacefully. A fallen fruit here and a leaf or two there.
But slowly out of the fog something creeps. Closer and closer a wolf comes, trying not to make a sound.
In a snap the deer pops its head up, and both creatures know it has a decision to make. Only one can get what they want out of this.
When dawn comes, it becomes clear who has won.
The deer lives another day. The wolf finds another way.
