A semblance of fantasy, An ancient narwhal beneath the sea.
[Before humans could venture beneath the sea,
We found narwhal tusks and legends were born.]
When I was ten years old, I spilled mustard on my sweatshirt (it never came off,)
Roller coasters terrify me,
I can play the piano.
Reality--
It pervades like the echo in a cavernous room
It’s there even when the lights are off
and no one invited it
When I was ten years old, I went to outer space,
Nothing terrifies me,
I can fly all the way to the clouds
Fantasy--
It pervades like the echo in a cavernous room
It’s there even when the lights are off,
but
you have to invite it.
