Balance
Those who chose
to wander into the quiet woods,
where the wolves howled
and the evergreens rustled,
they fell into the world of bitterness.
Those who chose the rocky mountains,
where the brown bears growled
and the air stood still,
they fell into the pit of misery.
For I chose the quiet, rocky rivers,
where the waters splashed endlessly
onto the bank and hummed to the sounds
of its soothing aura,
I fell into the grounds of balance,
where I knew I felt safe once more.
