The girl can’t change her skin, yet people call her names
The beautiful deep brown color compliments her eyes
The names dig deep into her skin
They act as scissors slicing through the epidermis
Ruby-colored blood pours out onto the sink
The boy can’t change his sexuality
He tells some of his “friends” and tells them to keep the secret
The friends tell others and the others tell more
People move away from him at lunch
Not knowing what to do, he is sitting in his dark sunken room
The boy starts to miss practice and seems to be alone
Our actions speak louder than words
For those people like the girl and boy, embrace them
Shower them with compliments and sit next to them at lunch
Be their friend

I saw these happening within my school, so I wanted to address the issue.
