Vestige
We all carry around a voluminous diary
filled with stories of the past.
The stories tell us who we are and why we are here.
Each memory is recorded like a favorite television show.
Imprinted on the mind, in hefty textbooks.
Memory and history share occasions: time and space.
Flipping through the pages, the valuable diary is like a store:
there is an aisle for each moment.
The organization: an important, beautiful characteristic.
History is the destined ship transporting living memories
to the future, and nothing disappears
without a trace.
