Where I'm From
I am from the sweaty bike rides down the windy hill,
racing to the ice cream truck.
I am from the cozy couch playing Mario Kart,
with my brothers.
I am from the mother who constantly asked how my day was,
and the father who taught me to be independent.
I am from a two story house in Illinois,
to a quaint but cozy house in Wisconsin.
I am from the yearly vacations to the Wisconsin Dells,
with friends and family.
I am from the fifth grader joining band,
to a talented trumpet player.
I am from the kid who waited to get money on holidays,
to the guy who has a job at Culvers.
I am from the kid who had ask for ride,
to the guy who bought his first car.
I am from the kid who had learn to work at Culver's,
to the man who teaches new workers.
I am the kid who has done many things,
in a short amount of time.
