Here I stand
Here I stand
I stand in front of the boy
He has torn clothes
His hair outgrown and involved
I stare with glazed eyes
I do not understand the boy
For he CAN work
He CAN get clothes
He CAN get a haircut
And have a better life
But he is angry,
He accuses me for his state
For he doesn't wish to work
I feel no pity
I was once the boy.
