Program: Be Alright
Although the hurt seeps in,
I have to push it out.
And when pain tries to win,
I have to hide the doubt,
Because they all have laughs and grins
That seem to scream and shout,
“We know you’ll always be fine”,
“We need you to never shut down.”
Deeper down inside,
Where all the secrets hide,
I had to find a way,
Or all the pain would stay.
My heartstrings turn to steel.
Are feelings even real?
The system’s been set up,
And I’m next in the lineup.
