Christmas Eve

SWITCH! On go the lights.
Cars gather in the driveway,
The house begins to fill with happiness
And we know it's that time of year.

Food is served,
Delicious everybody always says.
Kids get anxious,
Time to unwrap.

One present turns into 5 smiles.
Another gets passed out,
The happiness turns into an uproar.
Tis’ the best way to end a very special night.

Put the leftover cookies out!
Milk for a very special person!
Brush the teeth and into bed early mothers say.
As everybody says, what a joyful Christmas Eve once again.

The author's comments:

I wrote this poem because I want people everywhere to know how my family feels on Christmas Eve and how it used to feel to put cookies and milk out for Santa but, all in all what im trying to say is I want people to remember the memorys of when we believed.
