Grass tickles my scalp
Leaves twist themselves into my hair.
But i don't mind.

Who speaks to the beatle and tells it to look for food?
Who looks to the flea and commands it to seek out blood?
Surely a being more powerful than myself.

So who am i to mind the grass
Tickling my scalp,
Or the leaves
Twisting themselves into my hair?

I am noone compared to the one,
Sculpture of branches
Reaching hungry tendrils
For the same sunlight
Burning my fair skin in june.

Maybe I belong to the one,
Sender of the rain that frizzes my hair in May.
