Blocking Tears
Tears
They fall
Gravity
Pulling them down
Deep, far, fast, and quiet
They drown out your sweet soul
Splashing heavy on your heart
Hands trying to wipe them away
Shut eyelids are still your enemy
When will the pain stop controlling your day
The last one hits and a smile appears
The last one drops and you feel it lift
The last one dries with open eyes
Tears on your shirt fade away
Today can be your day
Today is all yours
Don’t put up walls
Depression
Is not
You

I know many people suffer from depression and I want them to have some reassurance that it doesn't make them who they are. Also they can overcome it.
