The Reason for the Season
It's cold down here,
And kind of dirty too,
But that’s okay,
Because I remember why I'm here.
I’m here to teach the teachers.
I’m here to bring refuge to the homeless;
I’m here to bring riches to the poor.
I’m here to be a friend to the outcast.
I’m here to heal the sick.
I’m here to offer forgiveness.
I’m here to show people the way to Heaven.
I’m here to tell them my Father loves them.
I’m here to live for them;
I’m here to die for them.
I’m here to be put on the cross,
And rise three days later.
They don’t know the plan I have,
And some of them will never understand it.
But today I’ll start my journey,
Today I’ll show them just how much I love them.
