Bodies
Some treat their body with care,
Some put a substance in their body.
Seems harmless at the moment--
Takes the pain away.
Right!
But only for a second.
A couple hours later you are sitting in a jail cell for possession of drugs for the FOURTH TIME.
You get out without charges for God knows why.
You’re so addicted to it you just can’t stop.
You get arrested a few more times;
You know people are wondering: when will he learn,
But it is so HARD
You’re on your deathbed, wondering, “Why, why did I do it?”
Seemed like a great idea at the time.
You gained friends and
You got to experience jail.
YEAH
The minister walks in to your hospital room;
He sits down as
You roll your eyes,
Remembering that this was the very same minister
that prayed for your Grandmother right before she passed.
He starts talking to you about all the Jesus stuff you had heard about as a child.
But when he gets to the resurrection part, you become curious about it and say,
“I have never heard about that part. You sure that's right?”
He says, “Yes.”
Not long after,
you are a minister yourself,
telling Europeans the exact same thing
he told you:
“Believe.”

I wrote this piece because of the drug abuse in this nation and to show that there is a way to end it.
