Darkness and Light, Silence and Sound
  We tremble before the darkness
  We fear silence
And we smile at the light
  We love the sound
Yet it is in the silence
That our voices may be heard
In the darkness that we may be free
  To act without others looking
  We beg for the truth
We shun those who live in darkness
But take away a man’s mask
Let him see the light and hear the sound
Let people see and hear that it is he
And suddenly he shall hold back his actions
For fear of what people may
  Think or say of him
  Hiding in the darkness
We can do what we want
  Without judgment or scorn
Be free and heard in silence
Give me a mask or place in darkness
And I shall dance for the world
But place me in the light
I shall stand still and rigid
Give me silence of the world
And I shall shout my ideas
But place me in the sound, the noise
  My voice will be drowned.
