you use them for your scabs,
your cuts,
your bruises.
everything and anything
that gives you pain.
i wish we had bandages for our minds.
to patch up the pain
like you patch up
a paper cut.
i wish we had bandages for relationships.
to patch up the grief
and sadness
and everything bad.
to make all the pain go away.
i need a bandage that can
fix more than a scab.
more than a cut.
more than a bruise.
i need a bandage that can fix anything.
anything that needs to be fixed.
