Teddy
A girl’s bear sits in the corner
Stained, dusty, dirty
He watched as she takes her first steps,
Had her first sleepover, first days of school,
Her first boyfriend.
On her 19th birthday, she sees Teddy
Takes him down, and brushes him off.
And packs him away,
For the adventure that is to come.
