Where I'm From
I’m from sweaty summer days.
Obnoxious music piercing the neighbors’ ears.
From eagerly awaiting to jump in the ice cold pool,
Consistently looking back to make sure you don’t get thrown in Slamming the ground with my broken diving board
I’m from the pain of a broken arm
Tugging and pulling to readjust the shattered bones
Yelping in pain
Shot after shot to numb the pain
I’m from 3 hour wrestling practice 5 days a week for two months
Rarely getting time to rest
From boiling baseball pants of a 95 degree sun
Sneaking a water break while coach wasn’t looking
Hitting mile long homeruns
I’m from the padless sport of rugby
Making the tackles
Getting when we win the match
Always looking for the title of Man Of The Match
I’m from late netflix binging nights with my girlfriend
Randomly making baked treats
From hanging out with my step brothers
Teaching them pool,
darts, and video games
I’m from midnight snacks with my sister
Eating mac and cheese and talking about life
FaceTiming her to wake her up
Keeping her up till I'm done
I am from my experiences
