confident
she walks with confidence
i thought existed only in movies
the wind carries her
when i stumble upon my own feet
she laughs with her gentle giggle
and i try to laugh with her
but i hear my own voice and stop
bands of eyes pass us
i swear they've just seen color for the first time --
i don't let myself look away from the ground
did they even see me?
i wonder if i am even at her side
or if i am just the decayed gum i watch
stuck to the cement
walked all over by her million dollar shoes
