Childhood
When did I grow old
From playing with my favorite toys
To worrying if I am wearing enough gold
When did I mature
From clothing myself in pink dresses and bright bows
To searching the store for something couture
When did I age
From eating sweets of milk and honey
To plain crackers the color of beige
Why has my childhood faded so soon
I used to climb to tops of trees
Now I stir my tea with my gray spoon
Why has my childhood faded so soon
I miss my days filled with light
Please come back my world now feels so un-tuned
