Rejoice for Her Story
Rejoice, my fellow women, rejoice, for we have been granted gifts from our Lord!
We have been granted the ability to love, and to laugh, and to enjoy our lives.
We shall rejoice, for we are women, and we have been liberated from the chains that have kept us down!
But shall we keep rejoicing when our granddaughters will be shamed for sharing their opinions?
Shall we rejoice for the hate crimes against our descendants who, every day, must clutch their keys as they leave their jobs for fear of being attacked?
Shall we rejoice for our uneducated daughters, our oppressed sisters, and our terrified youth?
What can we rejoice, my fellow women, but the ignorance of others.
